Constantino to strike Lingfield gold for Fahey

-

CONSTANTINO should run well in the Sun Bets Bet #10 Get #20 Free Handicap at Lingfield if the lack of a recent run does not find him out.

Richard Fahey’s three-year-old has not run since June but he has some strong form in the book in the context of this race.

He beat Weekend Offender as a juvenile, who now has a rating of 89, while first time out this year he was not disgraced in a hot handicap at York won by Castle Harbour before going on to run well at Haydock.

Last sighted at Doncaster, it looked like something could have gone wrong as he was difficult to keep straight and he has not run since.

Still a colt, he should be ready to run coming out of Musley Bank and a mark of 80 may underestimate him.

When John Ryan books Adam Kirby it is usually worth taking note and that is the case with Mercy Me in the first division of the Betway Handicap.

A winner under Kirby in October, he struggled off a mark of 70 just 12 days later.

Given a break since, the fact he is fresher may work in his favour this time.

Sentinel looks interesting in the 32Red On The App Store Maiden Stakes at Kempton.

Charlie Fellowes sent him to Doncaster for his debut and he was quietly fancied for what looked a hot event.

As he is from the family of Soviet Song, more could have been expected of him than the 10th place he eventually registered.

He shaped better at Kempton last time out when showing a bit of promise, although he looked far from a certain future winner.

It is slightly surprising he is not stepping up in trip, but with those two runs under his belt he could spring a little surprise.

Bon Enfant is worth another chance in the Advent Handicap Hurdle at Leicester.

Warren Greatrex’s five-year-old does have a bit of an in-and-out profile, but is pretty capable on his day.

Sent off favourite on his return to action at Wincanton, everything was going smoothly and he had cruised through the race until the third last.

Unfortunately he stumbled badly on landing and his race was over. He was allowed to coast home in his own time and did not have a hard race.

Floramoss finished third in a bumper which has worked out well and might be worth chancing in the At The Races Sky 415 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Hexham.

That race was won by Irish Roe, who went on to dead-heat in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham afterwards.

Floramoss was some 13 lengths adrift which does not suggest she is a certainty by any means, but in a race of this level, it is just about the best.
