-

HUDDERSFIELD Town Ladies’ Development team moved joint top of the Northern Reserves league with a 4-0 home win over Hull City Reserves.

Town’s goals were scored by Robyn Harris, who grabbed a brace, Laura Windle and Tara Duce – the team have no game next weekend.

The Academy team won 3-2 away at AFC Dronfield, with Town’s goals coming from Carly Doyle, Amy Broomhead and Shauna Messenger.

Next Sunday the Academy squad will travel to Handsworth (1pm).

With only 10 players and no recognised goalkeeper Town’s Under 18 team travelled to Dearne & District for the first meeting between the two clubs for almost three years and recorded a comfortable 11-0 victory.

In a game which saw several team and individual milestones, the most significant of which was Amy Broomhead’s 200th league and cup goal for the team, Town dominated from the start.

They took the lead when Ellie Womersley cut inside a defender and scored, and minutes later she was the provider for Broomhead, who went on to complete her ninth hat trick of the season before the half hour.

Further goals from Millie Morris, Womersley and Ella Harris made it 7-0 at half-time.

Harris added her second before Broom head notched two more before Harris completed her sixth treble of the season.

The girls went past 100 goals for the season in 11 games, and on Saturday the Under 18 side are at home to Sheffield FC Red (10.30am)

The Under 15 side were 5-0 winners at Rotherham Whitehill United .

Gwen Hughes opened the scoring and Molly Ellis had a shot well saved before Courtney Livsey notched the second and Macy Ellis then set up Jess Barrow who made it 3-0 before half-time.

In the second half Town created chance after chance and Barrow was netted by left back Jemima Wood.

Town player of the match was defender Nadya Longstaff, and on Saturday the Under 15s are away to Steel City (11am).

The Under 13 team remain in third place in Division One after playing out a 2-2 draw at home to second placed Barnsley Ladies.

Town as the dominated possession, but it took an excellent solo run and finish from last season’s Barnsley captain, Tamara Wilcock, to put Town one up.

The second half saw Scarlett Taylor and Erin Kaye go close for Town before Wilcock blasted in her second to make it 2-0.

Barnsley had always been a threat on the break and two goals from their winger earned a draw.

On Saturday the Under 13s travel to Doncaster Belles (11am).

Town Ladies Under 11 side are at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (10.30am).
