Top of the Fourth Division side Fothergill & Whittles maintained their good form with a 4-0 victory over Cartworth Moor but Dalton Dynamos had a thumping 16-1 win over Westend, meaning they are nine points behind but with four games in hand.

However, even after that fantastic victory, they still have an inferior goal difference to Fothergill.

Cask are chasing hard in third place with a 4-1 win over Deighton and bottom-of-the -table Mount picked up a point in a 2-2 draw with Thornhill Utd.

In Reserve Division One, Holmbridge beat Netherton 2-1 to lift them off the bottom of the table as first versus third saw Skelmantho­rpe draw 2-2 with Heywoods.

Linthwaite strengthen­ed their position at the top of the Reserve Division Two with a 4-2 victory over third-placed Moorside.

Reserve Division Three saw a great result for Almondbury Woolpack, as top played bottom. FORMER England boss Sam Allardyce’s advisors are in discussion­s with Crystal Palace over the club’s managerial vacancy.

Allardyce’s representa­tives are in negotiatio­ns with Palace, who want the former West Ham and Sunderland boss to replace Alan Pardew, Press Associatio­n Sport understand­s.
