We should be fighting the CCG, not each other

-

THE comments people have made on the original Let’s Save Huddersfield A&E Facebook page have turned my stomach.

I’m not nasty or vindictive as my true friends will know. I was sad to hear they were getting rid of our A&E; in fact I was appalled and angry so I joined the campaign to save the hospital, along with thousands of others. I was happy doing my little bit to help and would go where needed. So yesterday when I saw all the vile messages on a page on Facebook I just thought what the hell!

I’m not political in any way at all but I know who is in power at this moment in time is responsible for what’s going on with hospitals and the NHS. As regards to the march, there are hospitals getting together from all over to meet in London to let people know we have had enough. The hospitals are in crisis as we know from all the coverage on TV and the media.

I will be joining the march with my head held high, marching for our hospital. It’s national for one day and one day only. I’ve not turned national – and don’t anyone dare say we are all national. I’ve joined no national party and neither has anybody else.

We are going to unite on March 4 with Grantham, Chorley, Lewisham, South Shields, Horton, St Helier’s, Devon etc – and that’s only a few !

I will carry on as before fighting to save our local hospital as will everyone else. There should be no divide and no-one should be slated for doing something they truly believe in and that also includes people who only want to fight locally. We should be fighting the CCG and not each other.
