Ibrahimovic puts United into last eight

-

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC came off the bench to score the winner as holders Manchester United had to work hard to beat Championship strugglers Blackburn in the FA Cup fifth round.

Striker Ibrahimovic tucked in from close range with 15 minutes remaining.

Danny Graham had given the hosts the lead after 27 minutes but Marcus Rashford equalised for the visitors 10 minutes before half-time.

Rovers striker Anthony Stokes had a goal rightly ruled out offside following Romero’s triple save late on.

Harry Kane netted a hat-trick as Tottenham cruised into the quarterfinals with a 3-0 victory at Fulham.

Christian Eriksen set up the first two for the England striker, with Dele Alli providing a neat pass for the third to wrap up a convincing and welldeserved triumph at Craven Cottage.

On Saturday, Sean Raggett scored a late winner as non-league Lincoln beat Burnley 1-0 to secure a place in the quarter-finals for the first time in the club’s history.

The impressive Imps held firm at Turf Moor and centre-back Raggett headed home in the 89th minute as Sean Dyche’s side were dumped out.

Luke Waterfall nodded Sam Habergham’s corner back across goal for fellow defender Raggett, who headed past Tom Heaton to ensure Lincoln became the first non-league team to reach the last eight since 1914.

Shaun Cummings struck another blow to Premier League champions Leicester after his last-minute strike sealed a 1-0 victory for 10-man Millwall at the Den.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have yet to score a league goal in 2017 and were tamed once more by the Lions, who had Jake Cooper sent off on 52 minutes for a second bookable offence.

The Foxes, just one point above the Premier League relegation zone, looked like securing a replay against the League One outfit before Cummings’ winner in the 90th minute.

Christian Stuani struck a late winner for Middlesbrough who held off a spirited Oxford fightback to win 3-2 at the Riverside.

Boro seemed to be making light work of the U’s as Grant Leadbitter’s penalty and a Rudy Gestede strike handed them a 2-0 lead at half-time.

The League One side rallied, though, with Chris Maguire curling a free-kick past Brad Guzan on 64 minutes and just 60 seconds later Antonio Martinez levelled.

However, Stuani scored in the 86th minute as Aitor Karanka’s side scraped through to the sixth round.

Chelsea v Manchester United, Middlesbrough v Huddersfield or Manchester City, Tottenham v Millwall, Sutton or Arsenal v Lincoln.

Matches to be played on weekend of March 10-13.
