The second half belonged to Penrith and they went into the lead on the 70th minute going 17–14 up.

With the home team now on a roll and the YM defence tiring it was no surprise when Penrith further increased their lead this time right wing Littleton touching down in the corner and with Allinson adding the extras it put the game beyond YMCA.

Penrith rubbed salt into the wound when on the stroke of full time Allinson converted his own try from the touch line to give the score line a slightly one sided look.

With the YM getting nothing out of this game next Saturday’s fixture against Durham is a must win game to ease their relegation fears.

In Yorkshire Two Old Rishworthians were impressive 79-14 winners over Leodiensians.

Despite missing six first team regulars, Rishwothians were dominant and centre Taniela Bakoso scored the first tries.

There were other touchdowns for Sam Nunn (2), Anthony Shoesmith (2), James Clarke (2), Jacob Ford (2), Ben Wainwright, Gerard Rollings, Fraser Swarbrooke with Josh Kelly kicking nine goals and two penalties.
