Quartet book their places in the Griffin’s Memorial final showdown

FOUR players are through after The Griffin held their second week of qualifications for the Bernard Sigsworth Memorial.

Ray Whitwam, Liam Fallas, Paddy Higgins and Mark Allman all progressed to the final eight on Sunday and in with a chance of the first prize of £250.

The final eight draw (11am start) is Paddy Higgins v Mark Allman, Ray Whitwam v Bob Hitchen, Liam Fallas v Billy Smyth and Craig Gant v Terry Brook.

On Saturday the Griffin wil stage the John Doughty Memorial starting at 11am.

The Griffin are now taking subs for next season 2017/18 season and cheques would be preferable.

The league season gets under way on Saturday, April 22, and the junior league is again being sponsored by Roses Cleaning Services and CNC Millturn Solutions, with additional funding for development from the Yorkshire Sport Foundation.

Before the season’s start there is a warm-up event when the Huddersfield Junior Inter-district get together at Brockholes BC on Sunday, April 2 (1pm).

The event is open to current interdistrict players, and younger players wanting to join our inter district teams.
