Voluntary work

HOLMFIRTH Community Forum is to host a volunteering fair at Holmfirth Market Hall in May.

The Forget Me Not Hospice will be represented at the fair on May 13 along with groups doing inter-generational projects, Fairtrade and more.

A spokesperson for the fair said: “A real strength of the Holme Valley is the range of organisations doing great work and the goodwill of the people living there.

“The aim of this event is to bring organisations, who use volunteers together with members of the local community so that they can find out more about the services and decide if volunteering is for them.’’
