Rebound put on strong show

The club took a squad of 20 to the Yorkshire region National Development Plan (NDP) finals in Pocklington.
All the athletes had earned their place in the finals after attaining top scores in a series of qualifying events.
At level one Meadow ConeyHellawell, Abigail Youde and Maisie Barber took first, second and sixth places, respectively, in the 9-10 years female event.
Morgan Hirst and Martha Surman also took first and second places in the 11-12 years female, while Edward Surman came second in the 9-10 years male event.
At level two Evie Sutcliffe took first place in the 9-10 years female group with Holly Walker, Maggie Baird and Holly Tarbutt coming first, second and fourth, respectively, in the 11-12 years female group.
Evelyn Surman and Tristan Cartwright both took gold in the Over 13 female and male events at level three – with Tilly Morris in eighth place.
Jacob Howell and Byron Brook came third and fourth in the 11-12 years male level four competition and Ana Karpouzi finished 10th in the Over 13 female level four category.
At level five Laura Steers won the 11-12 years female group and Thea Morris came second in the 13-14 years female group.
Harry Sharpe and Bailey Lee-Travers came first and second in the Over 15 male category, while Toby Brewin came first in the level six 15-16 years male group.
Those who finished in the top two and attained the required scores in their range and conditioning routine, qualified to represent Yorkshire in a National team event later in June this year.
Qualifiers are Coney-Hellawell, Youde, Hirst, Martha and Evelyn Surman, Sutcliffe, Walker, Baird, Steers, Thea Morris, Sharpe, Lee-Travers and Brewin.
