Springing into action INDUSTRIAL SPRINGS COMPANY EUROPEAN SPRINGS & PRESSINGS LTD IS SET TO MOVE FROM ELLAND TO LARGER PREMISES AT LINDLEY MOOR IN JUNE
A FIRM making industrial springs expects to move into its new premises this summer.
European Springs & Pressings Ltd said the new offices and warehouse at Lindley Moor is set to “go live” in June and be fully operational from August.
The firm, part of the Swedish Lesjofors group, is transferring its 25 staff from its current premises at Elland because it needs more room.
Managing director Michael Gibbs said the “exciting” development with improved logistics and increased storage space would ensure the firm’s long-term competitiveness.
“We import a number of our gas and standard stock springs from our parent company’s factories in Europe,” he said.
“Previously, restrictions on space made it difficult to store the 12,000-plus lines of catalogue products we make.
“Our new increased storage capacity will allow us to import larger volumes and hold an enhanced stock range, therefore decreasing the time frame from order to delivery and dramatically reducing the associated costs.”
The warehouse and office has been built by Elland-based Marshall Construction as part of the £15m Summit 24 scheme for developer Stirling Scotfield.
Earlier this week, truck supplier Mac’s Trucks confirmed it expects to move in August from Outlane to a new unit under construction near the junction of Lindley Moor Road and Crosland Road.
