Ella Harris missed the photo to link up with the first team. Below: Eleanor Smith with her awards half began, but unfortunately the were stung to end up 2-0 down.

As Huddersfield pushed for a goal to give them hope of turning the final around, Lewes scored again through Bridges to put themselves out of sight,

Further misery was heaped on Town when Lewes scored a fourth.

Town will feel they didn’t do themselves justice after their highscoring victories on the way to the final.

There was consolation for the club, however, as the Under 18s won the Sheffield & Hallamshire Cup for the fifth consecutive year, 7-2 against Sheffield FC Blue.

Sheffield had spells in the game where they caused Town some problems but, with only 10 players, Town showed a lot of resilience in defence and plenty of quality in attack.

A penalty from Ella Harris and a great individual goal from Jodie Lodge gave town a 2-1 advantage at half time.

It was one-sided in the second half with Town playing some fantastic football.

Two quick goals from Ellie Womersley and captain Rose Priestley gave Town a cushion and, late on, Jodie Lodge and Ella Harris both scored another goal each.

Eleanor Smith received match ball and player of the match award.

Town Under 13s completed their league season with a 9-0 win at home to Dronfield Town.

Laura Hulme opened the scoring and Isobella Kington added a second.

Taylor then had a shot well saved and Millie Rumney shot over the bar.

Mallinson then played Hulme in again for the third.

Wilcock made it 4-0 a minute into the second half before Mallinson and Hulme each hit the bar.

Hulme then made amends when she made it 5-0 and scored her fourth of the game just two minutes later.

Wilcock scored her second and then set up Rumney for her to finish well before, with four minutes remaining, Wilcock completed her hat trick.

On Saturday the Under 13s travel to Eckington Belles to compete in the League Cup Final against AFC Pogmoor (11am). Chelsea ....................................................
