Town fan hits out at traffic warden ‘stunt’

-

“Children are being penalised by a ludicrous exam culture. I failed all of my exams ... I know the virtues of the wilderness, travel, outdoors and animals” HAVING had the unfortunate experience of seeing our team of heroes lose out against the Welshmen from Cardiff in our bid for Premiership status, the experience that followed was more costly.

What a double disappointment when we returned to our car!

Parked where we always park on Silver Street, Aspley, to be confronted by a Penalty Charge notice stuck on my windscreen for £70.

What an opportunity for the local Enforcement Officer taking advantage of some 50 cars belonging to Town supporters parked on Silver Street along both sides of the road and even the gateways of the company situated on the same street. Some parked legally, but the majority like me on the double yellow lines.

This is an area where countless supporters have parked for many years, out of the way and safe. Until now!

Yes we were parked illegally admittedly and most of us will be paying up, but the opportunist Enforcement Officer must be a Leeds United supporter to pull a stunt like that.

It would be interesting to establish just how many Town fans were caught in this ‘honey trap.’ I FEEL Martinek.

His latest communication seemed to start with his usual lament that those who didn’t vote leave are spoiling his party.

He launches into the usual rehash of the arguments proposed by the Remain campaign. He comments that the promised “Armageddon” hasn’t arrived even though the vote was to leave.

Well, we haven’t actually left yet and so the full impact has not yet been felt, although even Mr Martinek might have noticed price rises and some shortages.

The funniest thing in his letter was that “the leave campaign was a model of restraint and common sense.”

Come on! The only people who believed Cameron and Osborne’s offerings were the same people who believed Boris when he said that it was costing the UK £350 million per week and all this would be spent on the NHS if we left
