However, the pack will again be without Tongan international Ukuma Ta’ai for the trip to Newcastle.

“Leroy should be back in the squad but we will have to see how he goes,” said Giants head coach Rick Stone.

“He is back in training and we have a few sessions to see how he is going before we see where he is.

“But Ukuma will not be available and it is going to be another couple of weeks before he is ready to come back.”

It will be the first time that Stone, who arrived at the Giants in July last year, has been involved in Super League’s Magic Weekend and he is looking forward to the experience.

“I have heard a lot about it and I am Looking forward to it and I am expecting a really good atmosphere,” Said Stone.

“All the players want to play on the big stage and I think it adds some electricity to the game, so everyone in the camp is looking forward to it.

“We have had a week off which has helped and we go into the game off the back off two matches where I feel we performed well against Leeds and Castleford and hopefully we will pick up from there.

“We were beaten in our last meeting with Catalans before Easter which was disappointing but we are expecting to do better in the contest this time around.”
