Juniors edged out in singles

THE Halifax and Huddersfield Union Junior team were agonizingly pipped by the Bradford Union at Elland.

The team lost an absorbing contest 19-17 after holding a lead at half way of 8-4 after the foursomes.

It was very close in the singles with four matches being decided on the last green and it was the away side who triumphed in two of them with one match halved to take the singles matches 15-9.
