are in.

If, like us, you’re planning to put the kettle on, get a supply of snacks in and stay up through the night chewing your fingernails – here’s the coverage you can expect from when the polls close at 10pm through to the wee hours.

On the BBC, David Dimbleby leads the results team, joined by Mishal Husain, Emily Maitlis and Jeremy Vine, with Huw Edwards and Andrew Neil turning up later on.

The team will be joined in the studio by plenty of Beeb experts including Political Editor, Laura Kuenssberg and Economics Editor, Kamal Ahmed.

Over on ITV, Julie Etchingham presents the programme, with expert analysis from corresepondents in Westminster.

If you’re watching Sky, Adam Boulton and Sophy Ridge will co-host Vote 2017 from 9pm, crunching the results as they come in.

Every show will provide expert analysis as they tally results, as well as interviews with major political players, reports from across the country and no doubt some funky graphics.

However, if you fancy something a little more edgy, tune in to Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night from 9pm with Jeremy Paxman, David Mitchell and Richard Osman. We’ve been promised “an evening of sharp humour, cutting-edge commentary and coverage of all the results”. You can also look forward to special editions of Gogglebox and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

However you choose to watch, it’s sure to be a dramatic day for the UK to find out who will be the next occupant of Number 10. Election 2017, BBC1 9.55pm ITV News Election Live: The Results, ITV 9.55pm
