However, Stone is expecting a lot more from the 28-year-old and said: “Jordan didn’t get through a heap of work against Warrington, but what he did do was pretty classy.

“He carries well and is strong in gaining yards and his defence was okay – and when he got his chance to set up his wing he did.

“But we are hoping he will do that little bit better and get more involved against Catalans and add that bit more to our team again.”

The Giants were also boosted by the return of half back Danny Brough after suspension for the win against Warrington and a victory in France this evening would lift the Claret and Golds into the top eight.

“Some people thought the Warrington win was a little out of the blue, but we have been working to get there,” explained Stone.

“When we have all the attacking pieces in place, like we did against Warrington, we have a strong set-up.

“To have Danny back at stand off and play him alongside Lee Gaskell ensured that our kicking game against Warrington was very tidy.
