SHAUN MARSH is relishing his forthcoming spell of Twenty20 and four-day cricket with Yorkshire.

Australia international Marsh, 33, has revealed how he was desperate to add another county stint to his CV after only playing six T20s with Glamorgan in 2012.

Marsh is here as the White Rose’s overseas replacement for compatriot Travis Head in the NatWest T20 Blast before being pencilled in to play in the Championship later in the summer.

He will play alongside fellow Aussie Peter Handscomb in the Blast until he departs for a Test tour of Bangladesh in August before taking over as red ball overseas.

It is unclear as yet how much Championship cricket Marsh will play given Handscomb could return in September, but he is likely to be available for the rest of the summer if required.

“I’m really happy to be here,” said the three-time Big Bash winner with Perth Scorchers.

Marsh has scored 5,147 runs from 152 T20 matches at an average of 39.59, including two hundreds and 40 fifties.

He has played 15 times for Australia in that format added to 23 Test Matches and 53 one-day internationals.

The son and brother of fellow Aussie internationals Geoff and Mitch has also top-scored in two of three final wins for the Scorchers.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing in the big games, and I’ve been lucky enough to get some runs in finals,” he said.

“Any time you play the game, you want to perform well when the pressure’s on. It’s been good fun to do that.

“I’ve had a couple of wins with the Scorchers, so hopefully I can bring a bit of that to this group and the experiences I’ve gained over a long period of time.

“I’m looking to get out there with the boys and start off with a couple of wins.

“We’ve got a really experienced side with guys who’ve been around the T20 circuit.

“Hopefully we can build some momentum early and have a
