A MASSEUSE is hosting an unusual holistic event in Golcar.

Kirsty McDonald, owner of KirkyLu Organic Treatments and Therapies, is hosting an evening of tea, tarot readings and massage treatments.

The event will take place at the new Huddersfield Holistic Hub, at 1, Intake in Golcar.

After refreshments and treats, individual tarot readings, which take half an hour, will be held in a private room.

Michelle Kaye, a dog groomer and a Reiki practitioner, will carry out the tarot readings.

Using organic products, Kirsty will then give hand massages, which take less than half an hour, at a treatment table.

She said: “These events are filled with fun, laughter, some very tasty treats and you also go away with a little goodie bag as well.”

The event will begin at 7.30pm on July 14.

Tickets, which cost £20 each, must be booked in advance. To reserve a ticket, call or text Kirsty on 07905922559.

“The climax to the day was sitting in the cockpit of a Vulcan Bomber and having all the various instruments and dials explained to us by an ex-Vulcan pilot.”

Avro was founded by Alliott Verdon Roe, a pioneer English pilot, in 1910. Exhibits at the museum include the Avro 504 used as a trainer in the First World War, the Avro Lancaster, one of the pre-eminent bombers of the Second World War, and the delta wing Avro Vulcan, a stalwart of the Cold War.

The Avro name ceased to be used when the company was absorbed into Hawker Siddeley Aviation in 1963, but there was such a strong heritage connection that it was used again by British Aerospace from 1994-2001 in naming some of their jets. ■■Burglars searched a property on Battye Avenue and stole laptops, computer games and jewellery in the early hours of June 30.
