Boge Compressors has moved from Brighouse to the 13-acre Park Valley Business Park at Lockwood, where it employs 25 people and has taken three industrial units totalling 12,750sq ft.

The Mayor of Kirklees Clr Christine Iredale and her consort Robert Iredale attended the opening with Boge general manager Mark Whitmore, managing director Thorston Meier, owner Wolf Meier-Scheuven, financial controller Ian Svenson and senior vice-president Ricarda Fleer.

Mr Whitmore said the move to more modern premises from its previous location at Rastrick Common would help the firm meet its target of raising revenues by 50% over the next four years.

The arrival of Boge means phase three of the development at the Park Valley site is now fully let.

The site, owned by Holmfirth Dyers, has 18 brand new industrial units with office and storage space and superfast broadband.

The plot now provides accommodation for firms employing more than 125 people.

Holmfirth Dyers’ managing director Martin Duckett said work on phase four of the development, providing 14,000sq ft of space, had now been completed with all four units already under offer.
