I predicted if the Tories won there would be strikes and cuts up and down the country. The Tories want private health care. They can afford better transport facilities.

It’s totally beyond me why people who are not mega rich voted for them. Let’s hope if they axe May and Boris Johnson gets to be their leader he will call an early general election. WHILE the 900 miles of potholes are being repaired could Kirklees Council spend time cutting back all the bushes and brambles which they have let grow on our rights of way, yes our pavements.

It means stepping into busy roads to avoid them which is endangering lives. Surely the council has a care of duty to pedestrians to make sure the rights of way are clear to walk. If not, then accidents will happen.

Trees and bushes do grow and if not regularly cut back they can becomes dangerous.

Is the council so obsessed with its wonderful plans that it cannot see the wood for its trees? WELL done M Carter. To these remainers, if staying in Europe is the best for you why don’t you pack your bags and emigrate.

My son lives in Holland and he is afraid after Brexit they will send him back to the UK.

Can you see the Dutch government looking after his wife and four children?

It’s about time we were looking after our own workforce.
