Tory rule is worse than a visit to the dentist ...

-

Allotments are helping to keep people out of hospital, a place of tranquillity and interest, lowering blood pressure! Growing healthy food to eat cheaply while good for the environment. A sense of community pride and fulfilment! It’s a disgrace to get rid of them. Ilie Nastase, former tennis player, Bernie Leadon, rock guitarist Brian May, rock guitarist Adrian Noble, theatre director, Anthony Edwards, actor, Evelyn Glennie, percussionist, Angela Griffin, actress

Benedict Cumberbatch, actor, THERESA May and the Democratic Unionist Party have not held office long now and so far we have seen railways disrupted and 500 jobs to go at our hospital trust which is surely down to cuts before the election.

I predicted if the Tories won there would be strikes and cuts up and down the country. The Tories want private health care. They can afford better transport facilities.

It’s totally beyond me why people who are not mega rich voted for them. Let’s hope if they axe May and Boris Johnson gets to be their leader he will call an early general election. Five years of Tory rule is worse than a visit to the dentist or, equally as bad, Jeremy Corbyn could have been Prime Minister. WHILE the 900 miles of potholes are being repaired could Kirklees Council spend time cutting back all the bushes and brambles which they have let grow on our rights of way, yes our pavements.

It means stepping into busy roads to avoid them which is endangering lives. Surely the council has a care of duty to pedestrians to make sure the rights of way are clear to walk. If not, then accidents will happen.

Trees and bushes do grow and if not regularly cut back they can becomes dangerous.

Is the council so obsessed with its wonderful plans that it cannot see the wood for its trees? WELL done M Carter. To these remainers, if staying in Europe is the best for you why don’t you pack your bags and emigrate.

My son lives in Holland and he is afraid after Brexit they will send him back to the UK.

Can you see the Dutch government looking after his wife and four children?

It’s about time we were looking after our own workforce.

Let’s get some laws made where we invest in UK products.

And, yes, I know most factories are owned by foreign investments, but with mostly UK Labour. MUCH has been discussed regarding the future of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Since government and other authorities have different priorities than the general public in how to spend the taxpayers’ money, I suggest we do what I have seen in a third world country – bring the bedding with you when you have to go to hospital and, if possible, bring also your own bed.

A large supermarket said one time that every little helps. Let’s see how this infirmary story ends but it looks like Halifax, for some reason, is far more important than Huddersfield.
