fundraiser Ryan Grint.

The fundraiser also coincided with an International Day staged by Paddock School.

The school was recently awarded the International School Award, having been praised for its multi-cultural ethos and creative and stimulating curriculum.

Teacher Zoe Devitt said: “All of the children came to school dressed in clothes from different countries and embraced a wide variety of exciting, crosscurricular activities.

“We had a lady from Finland with her basket of traditional delights, who kindly volunteered to do workshops with the children about the country.

“Even the school lunch menu followed the theme ‘All around the World.’

“Much fun was had by all… especially running the ‘mile’ in our costumes from different countries!” Ryan Grint from the Forget Me Not children’s hospice at Brackenhall receives an £863 cheque from Paddock Junior, Infant and Nursery School
