Hola niños! Primary school pupils sample new languages
PRIMARY school children spent the afternoon with older pupils learning some new language skills.
The Year 5 pupils from Spring Grove and Moorlands Primary schools visited the Modern Foreign Languages department at Salendine Nook High School to take part in languages taster sessions.
All pupils participated in two sessions over the course of the afternoon and got to learn some Japanese and Spanish.
Pupils were involved in a variety of activities including learning Japanese numbers and origami.
They also took part in a Spanish culture quiz, learning various greetings and making Spanish fans.
The school’s Claire Barker said: “Pupils said that they had a great time and it was a fantastic afternoon for everyone involved.
“We hope to repeat this successful event next year!”
