TAYLOR’S FLOWER POWER

-

AFTER 60 years of successful trading, Taylor’s Foodstore is now celebrating the 12-month anniversary of its latest initiative, fresh-cut flowers and floral arrangements.

Constantly reinventing the store’s offerings and appeal,Tony, the owner, decided in June 2016 to purchase the flower business from Gerts Florist in the village centre and incorporate it within his very well established food store on Meltham Road.

Taylor’s reputation is synonymous with high quality, choice and good value. This was all complemented with the arrival of a very talented florist,Tracy Charlesworth.

Tony soon realised that Tracy ‘sang from the same hymn sheet’ as himself with regard to his attempts to be the best at what they do in the area.

Tracy’s attention to detail is never compromised and her reputation for arranging all types of traditional and contemporary floral work is second-to-none whether it be wedding, funeral, special occasions or simple personal treats.

Along with the trainee florist, Katie Cummins, they offer the highest quality, long-lasting work for the best value possible.

Tracy’s work will be on display on Yorkshire Day,Tuesday August 1.Along with a staff dress-up there will be plenty of live music at the event from Tony’s popular quartet The Saxpots, junior cellist and saxophonist, Will and Jenna, super pre-grad students Lucas and James and a free-for-all tinkle on the ‘old Joanna’ by some of the store’s regular and less inhibited musical customers - all in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.Taylor’s Foodstore encourages everyone to come down and join in the fun! 8JOFT TQSJUT t %FMJDBUFTTFO t 'SFTI GSVJU WFH (SPDFSZ TUPSF t $IFFTFT NFBUT t )BNQFST 0VUTJEF DBUFSJOH t $FMFCSBUJPO DBLFT 'SFTI 'MPXFST t 'SJEBZ EFMJWFSZ TFSWJDF

In time they successfully built their business, taking it from strength to strength – while at the same time introducing the hugely popular Pink Elephant Restaurant (now The Blue Tiger).

Fish & Chicks is exactly what it sounds like. Uniquely combining two of the most popular takeaway dishes, Britain’s favourite fish & chips and the all-American southernfried chicken - a winning “Anglo-BritAmerican-twist” formula has been created.

There’s an extensive menu with a great choice that offers something to suit most tastes - from beautiful white fish cooked in golden crispy batter to soft tortilla chicken wraps.

All food is freshly prepared and cooked to order and only using the best quality produce. The fish is responsibly sourced, and is cut and filleted on site, then finished off the traditional Yorkshire way.

Fish & Chicks is proud to say that it only uses British-farmed chicken, and all pieces are marinated and coated in their very own mix - then cooked under pressure to give that mouthwatering crispy crunch.

There’s nothing short of perfection there and a well-thought out menu with some great lunchtime offers, meal deals and the very popular kids meals - you’re spoilt for choice.

Using their knowledge and experience in the hospitality sector they are now leading Fish & Chicks to equal success.
