Hussain holds all the aces as Parish prosper

The first-class player from Pakistan bowled his four over for just 22 runs as Clayton West were restricted to 143-2 in their 20 overs at Armitage Bridge.
Hussain then hit 52 not out to take the Wellhouse Lane club to victory in 18.1 overs in the shortformat showpiece for clubs outside the Drakes Premiership.
Mainstay of the Clayton West batting was opener Tom Barber with a six and nine other boundaries in his 72 not out.
Alex Clegg had three fours in his 20, Kiwi Kyle Hitchman two fours and a six in his 22 and Alex Rank was the other not-out batsman, with a six and a four in his 23.
Wicket-takers for Parish, backing up the fine spell from Hussain, were Tom Fretwell (one for 24) and Dan Hope (one for 26).
Clayton West soon had Parish in trouble at 8-2 in reply, with the dangerous Tim Orrell and David Bolt back in the pavilion, but Dan Broadbent steadied the ship with four fours and a six in his 30, sharing a third-wicket stand of 46 with Hussain.
After Jonathan Hellings had been removed by Sam Hall with the total on 61-4, James Hardcastle took Parish up to 134 in partnership with Hussain, hitting two fours and a six in his valuable 34.
Hussain finished with five fours and a six in his unbeaten knock, while Craig Glover, Dan Barber and Hitchman had a wicket apiece and Hall two for 31.
