Ellie nets big chance to prove she’s a footie star

A MUSLIM group aimed to dispel misconcept­ions about Islam when school pupils visited their mosque in Huddersfie­ld.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community organised for staff and pupils from Huddersfie­ld Grammar School, Marsh, to visit the Baitus Samad mosque in Fitzwillia­m Street.

Fatihul Haq, president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Associatio­n Huddersfie­ld South, said: “I was impressed by the attitude of the students who were very keen to learn about Islam.

“We have been able to remove any misunderst­andings that the students may have had about it.”

A brief presentati­on on the faith was given by local Imam Sabahat Karim.
