By George, is he really the best looking?

-

GEORGE Clooney seems like a nice bloke but his appeal to women can get right up your nose.

In the week he was named most handsome man in the world, he came top in a survey of Yorkshire women as their ideal male celebrity.

Grooming brand men-u also said the man Yorkshire women most wanted had to have humour and personality (74%), lovely eyes (62%) and be clean shaven (60%). Which lets me out.

Mind you, they rated a bloke smelling nice (40%) over being intelligent (33%).

George was also named as the man with the most perfect face in the world by British cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, who used the Golden Ratio, an ancient Greek formula to measure beauty.

But only superstars were handsome but they have never made a film or been in a boy band. So the list is a tad meaningless when Paul the decorator from Bradley or Bryan the roofer from Honley weren’t even considered.

The same Greek method was used last year by Dr De Silva when he declared actress Amber Heard had the most perfect face. Fair enough, she is rather gorgeous. But the rest of the top 10 had dodgy elements. Kim Kardashian was in second place. Really?

Others were Kate Moss, Emily Ratajkowski, Kendall Jenner, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Selena Gomez, Marilyn Monroe and Jennifer Lawrence. And not a mention of Tracy at the hairdressing salon or Brenda in the Waterloo branch of Morrison’s.

Not only that, there wasn’t a Greek among them.
