Villagers go into battle over plan for 59 homes

The hilltop village has poor internet access and is on the edge of the gas and electricity network, making it difficult to connect utilities to the new estate.
And villagers say the land is a ‘haven for wildlife.’

The villagers have raised over £10,000 for legal advice and are calling for help from people interested in ensuring that brownfield, not greenfield sites, are prioritised .
The planning applications will be considered at Huddersfield Town Hall from 1pm.
