Hospice worker Emma on shortlist for Nurse of Year
NHS for 10 years before joining the Brackenhall-based Forget Me Not in 2013.
The Nursing Times Awards represents excellence in nursing and patient care, bringing together the best of the industry for an evening of recognition, celebration and networking.
Emma, said: “I’m absolutely stunned by the nomination, it really is amazing but also a total surprise!
“I really feel privileged to do what I do – caring and supporting families.
“Even though it’s me that is nominated, it’s a team effort from everyone at Forget Me Not; I work with some great colleagues who have encouraged and supported me throughout my journey here.
“It’s also important to mention the supporters, as nothing would happen without them!”

Emma will now go to panel for interview, before finding out if she has won at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday, November 2.
