SNOW SPECIAL

-

snow sport re-creation of human ten pin bowling.

I have very little control yet and if my board is taking me in a certain direction I’m merely a passenger, but it’s all in a day’s work.

Well, half a day. In the skiing world it appears to be standard procedure to get on the ale at around three in the afternoon.

Which is great news. But one thing to take into consideration is that alcohol is not cheap in Norway at all.

A pint of beer in a restaurant or bar will set you back anywhere between 60 - 90 krone. Which loosely translates to around £8 or so. A little like a night out in London.

Norway is a very rich country and alcohol is one of the products that is taxed extremely heavily to dissuade people from drinking so much. So do be mindful of how much a big night out will dent your pocket.

Of course, even on holiday, it’s important to drink semi-responsibly and lining your stomach is key. Luckily there are around 30 places to eat around Trysil with the majority all open in the evening. You can expect dishes from moose and elk to every edible river fish found in Scandinavia.

Even better, most of these eateries have free wi-fi so you can post all your #scenic #landscape shots on 29 lifts, 68 slopes, 90km of cross country, snow parks, night skiing, two-hour transfer from Oslo airport (New airport 40 minutes from Trysil due to be built for 2018), Exclusive ski school.

Ski pass 2016/17: €48 – one day, €96 – two days, €134 – three days, €233 – weekly pass (6-8 days), Ski rental prices 2016/17:

Complete equipment snowboard: €11.21 – one day, €20.18 – two days, €29.15 – three days, €44.28 – six to eight days

Visit Radisson Blu Mountain Resort & Residences, Trysil, to book: radissonblu.com/en/ mountain-resort-trysil Instagram to show people you’ve never met how cultured and welltravelled you are. And speaking from experience, they will all rack up the likes in no time at all, because Norway is breathtakingly beautiful.

And of course, you’re in Norway, so by default everyone will think you’re some sort of international playboy.
