Colleagues swim a mile for Alzheimer’s Society

-

Cath, who lives at Marsh, said: “It was tough going battling the currents to keep on course, and the many hours of training in local baths and on open water really helped us.”

Jane, of Slaithwaite, added: “Knowing we were doing the swim for such a great cause was a big motivation for us. We are very proud of what we’ve achieved.”

Hussain Brook, Sadeh Lok head of service, said: “Cath and Jane really work hard helping our customers and it is a credit to them both that they gave up their Bank Holiday weekend to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”

Their 2016 Great North Swim was in aid of mental health charity Mind. Cath has already pencilled in plans to take part in the Great East Swim next year.
