The first show was held at Lane Farm barn, but the venue was too small for subsequent events and was held at Holmbridge Parish Hall on the second occasion and will be held there again this year.
Sarah Nobles, Residents’ Association treasurer, said: “This is a fund- raising event for the Holme Village Residents’ Association.
“We first got together in 2014 when Kirklees Council contacted us about the Tour De France.
“They told us that the route was coming through the village and that it would be massive.
“They weren’t organising anything so we realised we would have to get together to look after our little village.
“We ended up with about 100,000 people at Holme Moss.’’ Since then the group has gone from strength to strength. They have received charitable status and have taken on responsibility for the toilets in Holme, and now aim to refurbish the old Liberal Club building on Meal Hill Road and turn it into a community centre.
