Lepton Link, the local community association, has voted in favour of the group and a neighbourhood plan for the area.

Kirkburton Parish Council has also given Lepton Vision formal approval.

When the neighbourhood plan is in place and development start, the Parish Council should receive 25% of the infrastructure levy (tax paid by developers to the council) to be spent in the Lepton area as set out in the plan.

As most of Lepton is in the highest charging rate zone at £80 per square, additional money will be available for the Lepton and Lascelles Hall area for the future.
