HUDDERSFIE­LD Town Hall will play host to Brit nominated 80s singer Elkie Brooks next year.

She has been booked to appear on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 7.30pm.

Elkie will be well known to people who were listening to music in the late 70s and 80s. She sang with bands Vinegar Joe and Dada before working as a solo artist.

Her biggest hits include Pearl’s A Singer, Lilac Wine, Fool (If You think It’s Over), Don’t Cry Out Loud and No More The Fool.

Anyone who has seen her perform will know that long before the end of a live show and the frequent standing ovations that accompany it, there comes a point where Elkie does something so amazing that it leaves her audience almost spellbound.

It could be a particular­ly NEXT year marks 40 years since the Electric Light Orchestra released their iconic album Out Of The Blue.

To mark the milestone tribute band ELO Again will be performing at Huddersfie­ld Town Hall on Thursday, October 19, 2018.

ELO epitomised the 1970s with their unique symphonic rock style and unforgetta­ble classics. Their songs include Mr Blue Sky, emotional rendition of one of her ballads, a powerhouse blues vocal or one of her trademark impossibly long notes that leaves the audience mesmerised.
