He also gave thanks to everyone from Almondbury Liberal club who helped to run the competitio­n. The highest break prize, sponsored by a friend of Huddersfie­ld bowling, was won by Courtney Allert with a break of ten.

Entries are still being taken for this Sunday’s President’s Cup at Kirkheaton Con.

It’s a noon start and it’s drawn on the day.

The winner will qualify for the Armitage Leisure Services Huddersfie­ld Champion of Champions at Marsh United on Sunday, October 8.

The Kirkheaton Con 64 final, sponsored by Armitage Leisure, has a £1600 total prizepot with £500 to the winner. The final is one Saturday with a 5.30pm start.

Rob Lloyd, (Castleford), Tom Hanson (Leeds), Gareth Coates (Huddersfie­ld), Scott Tattersley (Huddersfie­ld), Barry Holland (Huddersfie­ld), Ashley Tattersley (Huddersfie­ld), Robert Hitchen, (Huddersfie­ld), John Greenhalgh (Huddersfie­ld), Craig Gant (Huddersfie­ld), Daniel Beeby (Huddersfie­ld), Michael Martin (Huddersfie­ld), Liam Griffin (Leeds), Daniel Radcliffe (Huddersfie­ld), Stuart King (Bradford), Marc Armitage (Leeds), Tom Boyd Jnr (Doncaster) THE Shepley 32, sponsored by Maxis takeaway of Denby Dale, was won by Andrew Wike. The Moldgreen Con bowler beat Jack Hill of Penistone]in the final.

Both bowlers had played extremely well all day with Andrew just proving stronger in the final.

The losing semi finalists were Danny Teale of Kirkheaton Con and Ian Vickers of Scholes BC Leeds.
