News /Ski operator is looking for Linda

-

A SKI tour operator is on the hunt for people named Linda - to give them a discount on their break.

Inghams is looking to hear from guests called Linda to fill their new winter chalet in Austria, which is also named Linda.

The chalet, in the famous Austrian resort of Kitzbühel, sleeps 28 to 37 guests and is a six minute walk from the Hahnenkamm Gondola and ski school meeting point in the worldrenowned resort.

Guests whose passport name is Linda will receive a special discount of £125 per person if they book their ski holiday to Chalet Linda before Thursday, November 30 2017.

The meaning of Linda can be derived from the Medieval German word ‘linde’ meaning either ‘soft’ or ‘tender.’

The name Linda is also the word for ‘beautiful’ in Spanish and Portuguese.

Today, public records show that Linda remains a popular choice of name among UK residents, with famous Lindas including: Linda McCartney, the late wife of singer Sir Paul McCartney, and Linda Clement, Scottish field hockey player who has scored 61 goals for the Women’s National Team.

Inghams is offering seven nights on a catered basis (including buffet breakfasts, afternoon tea and cake, and three-course evening meals with complimentary wine for six days) at the three-diamond Chalet Linda from £629 per person in January 2018, including flights and transfers.

To book and claim the special discount, call Inghams on 01483 791114.
