Early season boost for Brighouse Sports
BRIGHOUSE Sports Under 14 side have received an early season boost.
The squad (pictured above) have been given waterproof jackets by new sponsors Altodigital, who are also a commercial partner of Huddersfield Town.
Altodigital join the Russell way club’s other sponsors carpets direct and Mumbai Spice and the Bannon group, and the team have started strongly in the Macron Huddersfield junior League’s Under 14 section’s Division Two – they sit second in the table with three wins from their three matches so far.
The team kicked off the season with a 5-0 win over Ossett Town with goals from Evan Donovan, Josh Harrison, Josh Heavyside and two strikes from Rhys Wall.
Another Brighouse outfit enjoying early season success in the Macron League are Brighouse Juniors Under 15s, who hammered Shelf 9-2 in their Division Three showdown.
Seven goals were shared between Will Madgewick and Aaron Betteridge in Brighouse’s comfortable victory.
The visitors started the stronger and never looked back after Rish Pothack put them ahead early on in the contest.
Four goals from Madgewick, a hat trick from Betteridge and a contribution from Luke Smith made it two wins on the bounce for Brighouse, who are settling into their new division after stepping up last season as champions.
