We were recently outside our house on Coppice Drive in Netherton and the time was 3.45pm when a lad on a scooter came speeding down our road and doing wheelies.

He was going very fast and then three lads on trials bikes, one had spoilers on the bike, followed the scooter. All were speeding so fast it was impossible to get their reg.

Coppice Drive is a built-up area. In fact it is used as a rat-run and something needs to be done before someone gets killed.

It isn’t only happening on Coppice Drive, speeding cars are everywhere and most drivers don’t consider other drivers on the road at all.

You have to be a mind reader to drive today as most drivers don’t use their indicators at all.

We have had drivers in the right hand land and, all of a sudden, gone across us and gone into the left lane and decided to turn off, which has happened twice to us.

Up Jackroyd Lane in Newsome they have decided to put speed humps. Does it slow traffic down? No, it doesn’t.

And Cross Lane, Newsome, is the same with speed humps. That, too, is like a racing track, something should be done about speeding idiots. The Government has told all local authorities the speed humps have to be removed, though that isn’t happening seemingly.

We have seen drivers going faster over the speed humps. They don’t slow a lot of drivers down and on Meltham Road we were overtaken by another speeding car. It is only 30mph and he was travelling at least 60mph.

There have been a lot of deaths on Meltham Road over the past years. It is about time something was done about all speeders as they are the idiots who cause accidents and hit innocent drivers.

They should keep to speed limits. If they set off in time there is no reason to speed. narrow canal and responsibly picking up the poo in a black bag, where do you deposit it?

There is a bin at the entrance to the canal in New Street, Milnsbridge, and then the next one is Slaithwaite.

It’s hardly encouraging to comply with the anti-fouling request.

If you travel the other way things are just as bad.

Who is responsible for the placing of bins, the council or the canal authority?

Please let’s help people to comply with the law and get some bins bought.
