MASTERCHEF AUSTRALIA W, 7pm

IF YOU’VE been watching this latest series, you’re as dedicated as the chefs themselves – it’s been a long old haul.

But now it’s the grand final, as Ben Ungermann and Diana Chan take on a mystery box, a ‘copy the judges’ task and the longest pressure test in the history of time. Well at least it certainly feels that way.

RED DWARF XII DAVE, 9pm

LIKE wine or cheese, this sci-fi show has improved with age, and this latest series is brilliantly mad.

In this penultimate episode, the Dwarfers – including Craig Charles’ Lister, pictured– upload the latest software update to discover Red Dwarf’s owner, the Jupiter Mining Corporation, has been bought out by corporate giant M Corp, which only allows for products made by them.

ZAPPED DAVE, 9.40pm

ANY show that features a homicidal turkey with vicious teeth, a fairy with a broken wing and a few Orcs has got to be worth a look, right? If you haven’t seen this bizarre sitcom, you can catch up on UKTV Play, but fans will be familiar with the trials suffered by Brian (James Buckley). In this episode he joins a band of travelling players. Guest starring Sylvester ‘seventh Doctor Who’ McCoy, above.

JACK DEE LIVE AT THE APOLLO GOLD, 10.20pm

IF YOU want a cheery, happy-golucky comedian, Jack Dee, right, is not your man. He’s interminably grumpy, deadpan and sarcastic – traits we’ve come to love. But how will he get on with his special guest? Joining him on stage is chirpy Welsh divorcee Keith Barret, AKA Rob Brydon. Rob’s alter-ego interviews celebrity couples about the secrets of a successful marriage.

Wonder if he’ll have any luck here.
