Town need alternative approach to survive

-

Yvonne Kenny, soprano, Brian Little, former footballer and manager Blythe Duff, actress, Dougray Scott, actor, Jill Hennessy, actress, Christina Applegate, actress I HAVE supported Huddersfield Town for over 60 years and was thrilled to get a ticket for the Bournemouth game. I now live near Bath.

I am a huge David Wagner fan and he has done incredible things since he first arrived at the club.

Town played some excellent football until the final third.

They dominated the first 20 minutes, but no goals.

David Wagner needs to acknowledge he needs to change things so that Town start getting the dividends from their dominance.

No goals away since August clearly demonstrates there is a problem.

If Town are to stay up then we need goals and the present approach is not producing them.

Come on, David, give some serious thoughts to adopt an alternative approach - before it’s to late. WHAT this government is doing in its downsizing of our NHS is no different to a previous Tory government’s downsizing of the coal industry and that is to make it more attractive for sale to investors, most likely big overseas investors.

We are being sleepwalked into an American style, run for profit, health care system where if you can’t pay, tough IT is true that Continuity Remain wants to overturn our Leave vote. They might succeed.

But they cannot undo the fact that the referendum happened.

If we don’t leave properly, the compact of democratic assent between rulers and ruled will break down.

The political consequences of Brexit are almost all good, provided we do not appease the EU.

We are leaving the institution which is dysfunctional and undemocratic.

Every major EU policy is a failure from fisheries to regional policy; from open borders for criminals, to the odious EAW; from German mercantilism to near-bankrupt countries; from the Euro to unemployment.

Indeed, the levels of unemployment in the EU, both youth and general, are astounding. It would not be tolerated in the UK.

At the same time, the EU has encouraged enormous levels of migration from outside the EU which compounds the internal economic distress with damaging cultural problems.

The EU is no friend to Europe.
