Trio battling to keep their unbeaten runs

Deighton Leisure Centre B had a better outcome in their match at home to Marsh Con B as they ran out easy winners with three wins each for Rafal Aleksandrzak and Tomasz Pietrzyk plus a couple from division one debutant Samuel Nehmiah.
The Marsh second string are finding it difficult to gain points since their promotion to the top division.
In Division Two Woodfield Park B fielded a strong side at Kingsmith Fountain Of Youth and came away with a comfortable win thanks to a maximum from Derek Moorhouse and a couple from Mike Belk.
The evergreen Geoff Heywood won a couple of sets for the Kingsmith side.
New North Road Baptist Church A were level at 2-2, but Marsh Con C won the remaining sets to run out winners thanks to David Blackburn (2), Neil Dawson (2), Ed Bowen (3) and the doubles.
Peter Fox (3) and John Langfield (2) helped Kingsmith Engineering D to a narrow 6-4 win over Kingsmith PW.
Yorkshire County player Doug Bartle could not prevent a Kingsmith Engineering C side losing, as a maximum from Jonathan Taylor ensured Paddock ran out 7-3 winners.
Two Kingsmith Engineering players, Geoff Dunne and Doug Bartle, were part of the Yorkshire No2 team in their recent series of matches in Division 1A of the Over 60s County Championship, held at Nottingham’s Sycamore Table Tennis Centre.
After losing their opening match 9-1 against Lancashire, they went on to have quite a successful meeting.
The Lancashire side were relegated from a higher division last season, but are now able to call upon four top-ranked players for this season, who would have proved formidable opposition in the higher Premier Division.
Yorkshire went on to win the remaining four matches over the weekend beating Warwickshire No2 9-1, Nottinghamshire 10-0, Cheshire No3 8-2 and Cheshire No2 7-3.
