Will CCGs joining forces really help the patients?

-

Dame Shirley Bassey, singer Prof Stephen Hawking, theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author John McTiernan, film director, R Kelly, singer/songwriter, Rachel Nichols, actress, Kim Jong-un, supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea IN relation to your article on the two local CCGs joining forces (Joanne Douglas, January 3) for a monthly three-hour meeting indicates a fresh layer of management.

The story was about the new informal joint working group advising the two named in your article (Greater Huddersfield & North Kirklees) and perhaps reporting to whichever supervisory group is responsible for planning services across West Yorkshire.

Is there any evidence that this kind of multi-layered arrangement is likely to reap rich rewards for patients?

In so doing he will ignore the opinions of over half the Kirklees population, of the local MPs, of the majority of the consultants and GPs and other external health professionals.

It’s absolutely awful but I got made to feel like I was overreacting by the doctors, although the nurse who saw me after a wait took me straight to a bed to get my temperature down

Due to having asthma I thought it was to do with this.

I had a heart tracing done, blood tests, infuser to help with breathing and was let out the next morning with steroids and antibiotics, being told I had a ‘viral’ infection.

I’d not even heard of this Aussie flu! READING that the music ‘mogul’ Pete Waterman ‘doesn’t get’ Ed Sheeran ( and he doesn’t like him either ) - ‘Sound Out’ 5/1/18 - is no surprise.

Some pop artists in the 1980s relied on the likes of record producers, such as Waterman, to propel them to stardom.

Singer/songwriter Sheeran has achieved phenomenal chart success through his own natural and outstanding musical talent and without the help of such record producers.

Even now Ed is topping the UK chart at numbers 1 and 2 respectively.

More likely that the supremely talented Sheeran ‘doesn’t get’ Waterman.
