NCE again, Phelan is at the centre of matters down Weatherfield way. But as Anna’s court case is looming, maybe this is the beginning of the end. Let’s hope so.

Eileen visits Anna in prison again and their conversation puts a few doubts in Eileen’s mind, inspiring her to launch her own investigation into her husband’s actions and whereabouts around the time of Luke’s murder.

Clearly she isn’t Corrie’s answer to Sherlock Holmes because what she learns puts her mind at rest.

Gary then begs Seb to help Anna, but he’s too frightened to do so. However, he does tell Gary about Phelan’s involvement in Luke’s demise, which sets in motion an alarming series of events.

Meanwhile Craig and his colleague Jess are called to a disturbance at a lap dancing bar – only to discover that one of the witnesses is Bethany. Official questions out of the way, Craig has a few of his own.

Then Bethany drops the bombshell. Either he accepts what she does for a job or their relationship is over.

Also next week, Simon gets in to trouble for selling vodka at school, Toyah worries that Peter may leave her for Carla, and Eva discovers she is pregnant – but who’s the father?
