News /Airline slashes prices in sale

QATAR Airways has slashed the prices of seats by up to 40 per cent in its first sale of the year.

The airline has announced the return of its popular ‘Global Travel Boutique,’ offering discounts across all cabin classes.

The promotion will also provide passengers with the opportunit­y to win prizes, including air miles and duty free discounts.

There will also be the airline’s ‘Companion Offer’ in Business and First Class, while families with children can take advantage of discounts for kids.

The promotion includes flights from five UK airports, including Manchester, to destinatio­ns such as Bangkok, Bali and Perth, on travel from May 1.

Economy class fares start at £449 to Bangkok, £479 to Singapore, £549 to Bali, £579 to Cape Town and £599 to Perth.

Business Class return fares start at £1,889 to Bangkok, £2,249 to Bali and £3,159 to Auckland with further discounts offered on recently-launched destinatio­ns.

Qatar Airways chief commercial officer Ehab Amin, said: “We are delighted to usher in 2018 with our Global Travel Boutique promotion, our first sales campaign of the year.

“This promotion follows the success of last year’s Global Travel Boutique campaign, offering our passengers tremendous discounts on fares across all cabin classes. This promotion is a wonderful way to start to 2018, and we invite all of our passengers to take advantage of the exciting discounts and prizes on offer.”

Passengers will also have the chance to earn double Qmiles on all bookings made until 16 January, on travel valid until December 10.

Additional­ly, passengers who book their tickets at qatarairwa­ys.com during this period will be entered into a raffle, where ten winners will earn 100,000 Qmiles each as well as a chance to win one of ten hotel vouchers valid for a three-night stay for two guests from Qatar Airways Holidays.
