Forget the result, my Town trip was fantastic!

Meg Tilly, actress, Simon Pegg, actor/ comedian, Dean Gaffney, actor I AM a Bournemouth fan who made the long journey to see us get well beaten 4-1 on Sunday.

It was obviously a big disappointment from my point of view.

But, having slept on it , I must commend all Terriers fans who made more noise than the socalled Big 6 clubs put together when I visited their stadiums.

I really appreciated the round of applause we received at half time from your fans when it was announced how some of us set out at 1.45am and all your stewards showed kindness and respect.

I have just put a bet on Huddersfield to avoid relegation and hope that we will meet again in the Premier League next season. Best wishes. and ‘leaked’ that show the risks and threats we will be facing if we continue with this mad dash to leave the EU.

Of course, the more rabid Brexiteers will continue to repeat the tired old mantra that the “people have spoken.”

Well, yes, I suppose we did, but the result was closer than it should have been on which to base such an important course of action.

Even so, now that the truth is out and after witnessing the appalling mismanagement of the negotiations by David Davis and his friends, shouldn’t we be given the chance to think again? Democratic outcomes are never set in stone.

My old woodwork teacher always said “measure twice and cut once.” I think we have the right to expect at least the same principle in decisions affecting things other than a piece of timber!

I know that Mr ‘numbers’ Martinek and others will consider this request as anathema mainly because they couldn’t believe their luck in the outcome of the referendum, but if the decision is just then let’s see if the people will confirm it.
