Blame it on the bellboy? I

-

N THIS latest bonkers idea for a reality show, a luxury Greek hotel has been taken over by new management – namely five celebrities who seem to have wandered in from other bonkers reality shows. We are introduced to them as “Chelsea posho” Spencer Matthews, “Essex girl next door” Lydia Bright, “Geordie booze hound” Holly Hagan, “ex profootballer turned pro-ladies man” Ashley Cain, and most amusingly, “bewildered man child” Joey Essex. The narration is the funniest thing about this show, courtesy of comedian Russell Kane, who adds some muchneeded sarcasm and innuendo. International hotelier Mario Armani oversees the chaos as the five attempt to win good star ratings from the guests and ultimately become Employee of the Season. The guests, by the way, all look like Love Island contestants – clearly only beautiful bronzed bodies in aviator sunglasses have been allowed to check in.

Joey is delighted. “I wanted a job where I could be in the sun, meet fit birds and just chill out really.” He’s genuinely taken aback that he’s expected to work.

Lydia meanwhile announces she is wearing her “sensible shoes” for work – they are gold high heels.

On day one, Spencer is put in charge, while Joey is given the lowly job of bell boy and Lydia is forced to cover the breakfast shift alone when Ashley fails to get up.

“They think they are coming here for a holiday,” laughs Mario.

We all know, they are actually there to entertain us – and they might just succeed. JANE GOODALL was a 26-year-old British secretary, with no training or degree, when, in 1960, she was chosen to get close to the chimps at Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania, to live among them and be accepted.

“I wanted to come as close to talking to animals as I could, like Dr Doolittle,” says Jane, now 83, pictured.

Jane went on to become a worldrenowned British conservationist whose chimpanzee research revolutionised our understanding of the natural world.

She narrates this BAFTA-nominated film, which draws from more than 100 hours of never-before-seen footage of Jane, shot by cameraman Hugo van Lawick during the 60s.

The footage, believed lost until its rediscovery in 2014, is astonishing as it charts her relationship not only with the chimpanzees, but also with the cameraman who later became her husband. IN heart-stopping scenes last week, we watched as schoolboy Adam escaped from the killer’s prison and ran, bloodied and terrified across a field, making this crime thriller feel almost like a horror film. Then Adam flagged down a car and climbed inside – but whose car is it? Is he safe or back in danger?

Meanwhile, paedophile Phil Dawkins was seen eyeing Marcella’s son, Edward, at the school gates. Now, driven to exact his revenge on Marcella (Anna Friel) after his partner miscarried, he puts a plan into action.

Meahwhile, Marcella is heading to another hypnosis session, which reveals something shocking about Jason.

And Gail persists in communicating with Joel, but the stress causes him to suffer an epileptic fit.

This drama becomes more disturbing, yet more gripping every week.
