We won’t forget these rises on election day

-

I can’t understand the mentality that some believe they’re entitled to everything for nowt. This week I took my son in about an ear infection (that I’d treated at home for almost a week until he spent a whole night awake in tears because it hurt). I followed NHS online guidance about treating at home, and only decided on Drs because he was so upset in pain. The GP agreed with what I’d done and prescribed antibiotics and tried to prescribe calpol I’m a mum. I make sure I’m stocked up on it. Craig T Nelson, actor, Dave Hill, rock guitarist Jonathan Agnew, cricket correspondent Robert Downey Jr, actor, Karren Brady, businesswoman/author David Blaine, illusionist, ACCORDING to the Daily Telegraph, the average rise in England for Band D is 5.1%. In Kirklees it is 5.99%. In London that equates to £1,405 per annum. In Kirklees it is £ 1691.

What do we get for the additional £286?

The answer is unprintable. Perhaps we should withhold the difference.

The local elections coming up in a few weeks.

Remember!

In pursuit of growth and prosperity, (to keep stock markets healthy), every business and sport must give 110%. Those that can afford it, use cutting edge technology. Those that can’t, get left behind.

But if using the ‘cutting edge’ doesn’t win, you must ‘cut to the bone.’ That invariably means cheating. In effect, if you’ve trained at altitude and can’t win, you then need to use rocket fuel. And, when you’re living on a knife edge – one slip, and you’re dead.

The only people that don’t cheat, are a few rainforest Indians: they still rely on honest teamwork, and nature’s (unspoilt) bounty.

But as the relentless pursuit of growth and prosperity eats into the rainforest – their home – they’re forced to cheat.

With a market for ivory etc, poaching becomes a means of survival, and to supply the drug trade, (cheating athletes), some Indians are threatened with death if they don’t grow ‘coke.’

The biggest group of cheat’s are surely drivers that inject fossil fuel - to live life in the ‘fast lane.’ Not only do they kill people that can’t afford to drive, they generate, aggression and intolerance, fuel road rage and ill-health, and contribute to global warming.

And what does global warming do? Makes it too hot to play cricket, run and cycle. And, when the ice disappears, so do the Winter Olympics.
