Skinny Living is building a fervent fan base with more than five million streams on Spotify. The band has hit the Viral Chart Top 50 as well as being named Apple New Artist of The Week. On top of this they had their first TV performanc­e on ITV’s The Weekend.

The band appeared on the same bill as Justin Bieber at British Summer Time in Hyde Park and made their first festival mainstage performanc­e at Standon Calling.

They also performed a stunning two-set showcase at the Edition Hotel in London.

This was followed by a UK and European tour, selling out a number of dates including Utrecht, Band ‘Skinny Living,’ from left: William Booth, Rhys Anderson, Ryan Johnston and Danny Hepworth play for pupils of Royds Hall School in their lunchtime Madrid, Birmingham, Manchester, London and their biggest headline show yet in home town Wakefield at the 1,100-capacity Warehouse2­3.

Joanne Clegg, school administra­tion manager at Royds, said the response of students to the band had been “excellent”.

She said: “To have such a profession­al band perform to our students was inspiratio­nal.

“As a school we are currently working towards our Artsmark qualificat­ion over the next two years and are delighted that the band are going to be involved in our Artsmark festival in June.

“Students and staff alike are looking forward to this and to the release of their upcoming album this spring.”
