HUDDERSFIELD Falcon resumed their club championship series at Thurlstone on the outskirts of Penistone – and on the Championship Course old battle lines were redrawn between young hotshot Will Tolson and Ben Robinson.

Third overall went to a new face in the club, that being Gary Huxley, who was slightly off the pace of the leading two.

Tolson actually went all the way to section three on his second lap before losing a mark, his biggest losses came on section six with a total of two.

Robinson pushed him hard there with a total of three, equalled by Martin Beardsell, however, he then suffered a failure on section nine which pretty much ended his push for the overall win.

The Clubman A course riders were thrown right into the thick of the action with sections one to three all to be ridden as hard course options, sections seven and nine being the other two.

Ride of the day came from Road and Trials spanner man Tony Heath, completing the entire trial without loss.

Close behind came the everconsistent Ian Blackburn with a total of three, which on any other day would have been good enough to take the win as his closest rival was Trevor Shingler, a further 12 marks adrift of his rivals

On the Clubman B course there were a few more new faces and it was one of these, Matt Treweek, who ran out the overall winner, turning in a very impressive final total of just two marks lost.

He was closely followed by club regular Dave Morley, six marks further adrift, just into double figures came third place finisher Mark Cook on 10.

Treweek gained his winning advantage of sections five and six where he lost just a single mark, in comparison, Morley totalled eight and Cook five.

Just two riders contested the White Route aimed at beginners. Mark Harvey lost a single mark to record a clear win over runner-up Peter Wright on 10.
