CRYSTAL Ski Holidays has launched its winter 2018/19 Crystal Guide to the Mountain.

The 60-page guide gives expert recommendations to help readers narrow down the choices for their next winter holiday.

It includes features of ski destinations, expert suggestions for beginners and family resorts, Crystal’s favourite signature runs and top tips on how to find the right ski holiday for next winter.

Crystal managing director Chris Logan said: “Last year we made an ambitious decision to change from a traditional tour operator formatted brochure to a travel-style slopeside guide.

“We asked our customers for their feedback and they liked the new approach as it serves their needs better, and they said it also complements the website.

“One section our readers particularity liked was the insider tips, hence we expanded this part of the magazine. It gives advice on how to get a great deal, find solo holidays, what to expect if you travel by snow train and where’s best for early or late season skiing.”

The Guide to the Mountain gives recommendations on where to eat, drink, party, ski and stay in the Three Valleys; discusses why Italian cuisine is about more than just pasta and parmesan; presents a guide to Austria’s ski areas and new connected resorts; explains where to find Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Brutalist themed and cutting-edge architecture in ski resorts and features a guest blog about experiences from a skier who has cerebral palsy.

Crystal has 118 destinations in 13 countries, departures from 23 UK airports as well as from St Pancras and Ashford rail stations.

The winter 2018/19 Guide to the Mountain can be ordered or viewed online, or picked up in the Crystal store in Manchester.
