golfer, THE hot weather was very welcome and while it didn’t last long enough it looks to be on the way back.

The only problem when the weather is so nice is it brings all the idiot drivers out who think it’s great to speed around and put their windows down and annoy everybody by playing loud music.

They also go speeding past you like a mad hatter.

They have no respect for other drivers.

I don’t think most drivers would drive so badly on the roads.

We recently had two taxi drivers who thought it was all right to do a U-turn on a main busy road.

We met one on Bradford Road who was on the opposite side of the road.

If my husband hadn’t swerved to miss him he would have gone straight into the side of our car. It was really frightening. They have no consideration for other road users.

The roads are bad enough with cars parked both on roads and pavements.

Another matter are potholes - they are everywhere. You have to dodge them all the time. Why do we have to pay road tax? Where is our money going?

All the council seems to think about is building apartments for students - they are not bothered about our roads.

The council are on about turning the old Co-op which has been empty for years into student flats.

Why don’t they think about parking places for all the students as they are filling all the roads with their cars around Primrose Hill. It’s only a small town.

I was born in Whitehead Lane, Primrose Hill. It’s a disgusting place now for residents with all the cars parked there.

Perhaps Mr Martinek should explain to the people in authority how to sort out 40 or 50 years of everything becoming so intertwined?

Scotland, as a part of the union, voted to Remain.

Ireland, if it comes back to having border posts, may go back to the bad old days.

I wonder where we shall be able to get the nurses we need and the people who are willing to work harder than most at harvesting?

We have a melting pot which is so complicated.

It may be sorted out in the next 40 years or so.

If Mr Martinek is so confident as to what needs to be done he ought to be part of the government! I’VE recovered from the defeat to Everton at the weekend and like our manager David Wagner (pictured) move on, remaining positive. Three top teams left to play. Are we fantasising with thoughts of grabbing three points off Arsenal on the very last game of the season and surviving the drop. Well, no actually,. View the Premier League table based on away points per game and Arsenal are joint 13th with Southampton

Optimistic? You bet. Up the town.
